SnapSac Paint the Town Review/Giveaway

I was thrilled at the opportunity to review Snapsacs new "Paint the Town" SuperTote.  It's no secret that I adore carry-alls. First of all I have to say that I was a little bit surprised when my SuperTote carry-all arrived. It came all folded up so neat and pretty that I thought surely there must have been a mistake. PAPAS CASERAS KETTLE CHIPS REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY!!!

Who doesn't love and appreciate chips? We all do and with literally thousands to choose from you really need to know that Papas Caseras Kettle chips are a cut above the rest.  I was sent a generous box with a variety of yummy chips to try.  I was forewarned that they were muy caliente  so I was prepared for one of those make my kissy face lips to blow in and out in order to cool my mouth down. Not the case at all! I love spicy and I have to say that these were definitley not in the TOO hot category. My kids ate them and loved them.  The first thing I noticed was that every bag I opened and every single chip I ate had that kettle crunch we all love but without being too hard like some other brands. Your able to enjoy the texture while the individual flavors please your potato chip loving palette!  Oh my! These are incredibly delicious. My personal favorite was the Serrano and I loved the hint of lime with it.  The hubby claimed the Abodabas  but you couldn't tell since he "stole" the rest my Serrano and took it to work. He owes me! I also thought it was a brilliant idea with the Con Salsa (pictured below) because it comes with an individual packet of salsa so you can do your own thing. 

Con Salsa: These lightly salted chips contain a packet of spicy and savory La Guacamaya hot sauce giving you the option to spice things up with one of Mexico's tastiest sauces.

Habanero: The habanero is one of the hottest chili peppers one can find. True to their name, these chips offer a fiery and zesty flavor that is sure to test the taste buds of even the most seasoned lovers of spicy foods.

Tortilla Land Review and Giveaway!

I have a new favorite! Tortilla Land Tortillas.  I was recently sent a lovely gift package from them which included a cute red apron, oven mitt, luggage tags, plenty of coupons and more.  I had never tried Tortilla Land Tortillas before although I had heard them on the loud speaker in Ralph's supermarket telling us all where to find them as well as a cute giveaway they held on facebook where they were giving away Quesadilla makers so I made it a point to pick some up on my next grocery shopping trip.  So glad I did since last night I caught myself  without anything in the house to make a quick dinner when friends were coming over at the last minute. The excuse was to play games but I think they were just hungry and used to me cooking something. Tortilla Land to the rescue! First off I need to let you know that these are not just your average run of the mill store bought tortillas. Oh no...you'll need to go to the refrigerated section for these.  I found them right next to where the cheeses are. Next up you'll need to.....wait for it.....cook them. Yes. I said cook but not to worries since all it takes is 30 seconds in a dry teflon skillet. I cooked mine just a few seconds longer  and it gave them a very nice delicate crisp.  I already had some ground beef so I just browned that up with some taco seasoning and put out the fixins.  This was a super quick and easy meal to serve my company for game night last night and everyone asked what Tortilleria I had been to.  I live in Los Angeles and we have Panaderia's which are mexican bakeries and it's not hard at all to find them making fresh homemade tortillas daily. Tortilla Land is just as good, if not better since your actually cooking them yourself. Even if only for 30 seconds it's called cooking right?

I have to tell you that Tortilla Land Tortillas are good enough to enjoy all on they're own but don't stop there. Use them as wraps and add peanut butter with bananas or roll up some strawberries and cream cheese for a yummy healthy snack.  Anything goes! Since I have changed my lifestyle and eating habits everyone asks so what can you eat? Everyone thinks just because I am eating healthy that there is very little I can have, and that it is all bland. Well I am here to tell you there are tons of things I can have, and they taste amazing!

So I am going to use this blog to not only share my weight loss story, but to also share some of my favorite recipes. Some I have made up myself, some I have found and modified and some will just be amazing recipes I have found and want to share.

Breakfast

My Pico Omelet

Makes: 1 omelet

Prep Time: 10 min.

Cook Time: 10-15 min

1 tsp virgin coconut oil

2 free range grain feed eggs

1 medium red tomato diced

3 tbsp yellow onion diced

1/3 cup green pepper diced

1 tbsp cilantro chopped (4-6 sprigs)

½ jalapeno seeded and diced

1 tbsp ground flax seed

½ avocado smashed

1/8 tsp fresh ground black pepper

Pinch of pink salt

Heat oil in a small pan on medium heat; while oil is heating crack the eggs and beat them like they owe you money. Pour eggs in the pan; add ground flax seed, diced tomato, diced onion, diced green pepper, chopped cilantro, diced jalapeno, pink salt and pepper. Cook for 5-8 minutes and then fold in half and cook on each side for 2-3 min. Remove from pan and place on a plate. Now spread the smashed avocado on the top of your omelet. I usually enjoy mine with a piece of Ezekiel’s 7 sprouted grain bread toast dry and 8oz of chocolate almond milk

When a truck backs up, it has limited view. Fortunately, the days are past when a second person stood behind the truck directing the driver. Today, a handy gadget alerts the driver to obstructions in his path. This gadget saves time, property and even life. It's backup cameras for trucks. Commercials on TV advertise cars with warning apparatus, stopping the car at the first hint of an obstruction. This is a camera system designed for Ford Econoline trucks, 2003-2012. The camera replaces the factory license plate light. It combines the license plate light with a 170 degree wide angle color CCD camera. Dust-proof and water-proof, the camera gives the driver an unobstructed view of what's behind the truck. The 5" monitor is dash-mounted. The ESKCamera Kit backup cameras for trucks backup cameras for trucks fits all 2003-2012 model year E-150, E-250, E-350, E-450 trucks. The system automatically activates when the vehicle backs up. This camera system protects trucks as well as the docks and doors to which they back up for loading. When they leave their delivery address, the trucks can see dollies, tools or anything else they might not have loaded back onto the truck. The system may also comply with insurance rules and regulations regarding safety hazards in business fleets. Not only is the camera system necessary to protect property and save money, it can save lives as well. What is behind people is the past, so they look forward, not behind. This proves true in vehicles as well but especially trucks.

Seriously....It's very hard to find a yoga mat that's comfy and supports your back at the same time. You want a yoga mat that is thick enough to cushion the spine and knees, but also thin enough to be easily rolled up, carried and stored. It also has to have a non-slip surface and a non-slip stable bottom for worry free transitions and holding of poses. In addition, a good yoga mat can be easily cleaned between uses and is made of materials that do not harm the user or the environment. Well Ladies....I have to say that I was slightly leary of a night cream that says it has can actually do everythung it says.
